'SimCity' Players Can Get Free Game From EA

For those who activated SimCity and then spent a lot of time battling its server problems, EA has announced you'll be able to get one game on them for your trouble. Players can pick between eight titles — including the previous version of SimCity: SimCity 4. The other games available for free are Battlefield 3, Dead Space 3, Mass Effect 3, Bejeweled 3, Medal of Honor Warfighter, Need for Speed Most Wanted and Plants vs Zombies. They range in retail price from $10 to $59.99. The games will be available to download from Origin for PC, according to EA's blog post, and players will start receiving emails Monday with instructions on how to redeem their free game.
